The New York Times Crosswords Reviews

The Apple Blog, April 30, 2009 – "Zipping through the different menu screens, the animations are utterly gorgeous. Before even setting a single letter on to the grid, it was clear that this is a different breed of iPhone game - it's smart, paced and incredibly classy." Read Review

Macworld, April 17, 2009 – "To some people, solving crossword puzzles means sitting in your favorite chair with a folded-over section of the newspaper and a pencil (or a pen if you're really brave) with a cup of tea by your side. To others, it's less about the ritual and the tactile sensation of paper than keeping the mind working during downtime. If you're more of the latter, then Magmic's The New York Times Crosswords Daily 2009 app may be just up your alley." Read Review

Shop Apple Blog, April 6, 2009 – "Great app for fans of the New York Times crossword" Read Review

Gizmodo, April 3, 2009 – "Subscribing to the daily online NYTimes crossword service is $40; with this app, you get each day's puzzle plus an archive of the entire year for $10, which is a great deal. It's also very nicely designed, and has a number of different ways to solve, including a mode that separates each clue out onto a separate line. Plus online scorekeeping, it's got it all. Now you can stick it to Will Shortz on the road." Read Review

AppScout, April 2, 2009 – "Crossword aficionados, listen up: The New York Times has released a crossword mobile app for the iPhone." Read Review
